To know the historic significance of a place, museums and libraries serve as a great source. There is a well maintained Government museum in Sikar which was opened in the year 2006. It's special displays are metallic images paintings, coins, stone sculptures and many art and craft items. Famous educational institutions like Safal Career Institute and Bhartiya Institute of Engineering and Technology contain large well-equipped libraries.
Government Museum in Sikar
The Government Museum in Sikar was open for public visit on the 28th of June, 2006. This museum was primarily built to store the various sculptures brought from the 10th century Harshnath temple which is situated on top of a hill close to Sikar.
This museum mainly contains 2 inscriptions, 287 stone sculptures, 51 weapons, 17 metallic images, 1256 coins, 51 paintings and 205 traditional art and craft objects.
Statues in Government Museum
This famous archeological State museum of Sikar has stored content from various places of archaeological importance. The 1436 popular art, Purasamgri has been preserved and displayed in the museum. An inscription engraved on black stone from the Harshnath Vikram Era in 1030 can be seen in the museum’s gallery.Purasamagri, Ganeshvar Banagr, fish hooks, copper tools, bangles, beads, wheels, Kulhadi copper and so on are some of the ancient items displayed here. There are also potteries, beaded Mrinmay from the Jhunjhunu district, bone-tool, toy car wheels, Buddhist auspicious pane, bangles, iron-axe and Kubddar toy bull are also found here.

Libraries in Sikar
Shri Kalyan Government College Library
The Shri Kalyan Government College library is the center of learning containing a vast collection of around 95000 books which are standardized sources of reference. The library’s reading rooms are big enough to accommodate about 60 students.
Safal Career Institute Library
The Safal Career Institute in Rajasthan has a well equipped and well stocked library, which is frequented by book lovers in the student group.
